Rhaphidophora Tetrasperma Mini Monstera

Rhaphidophora tetrasperma is one of the best aroid indoor plants you can add to your indoor garden. This lovely vining plant has glossy green leaves which, as they mature, develop fenestrations. Rhaphidophora tetrasperma is a vigorous grower when given the right conditions. They can grow 6-12 feet in a season as well as branching, so if you are creating the 'jungle indoors' this is a must. The leaf will reach a size of approx 15cm x 20cm. They prefer bright filtered light or dappled sunlight, and to be kept fairly moist, especially during the growing season. Also known by many other names, 'Mini Monstera' is a very tough plant and if it does suffer neglect it will generally bounce back readily. Some kind of support is also advised as your plant gets bigger. Trellises and totems are often used. Planting in a rich loamy soil adding a little orchid mix helps ensure the roots remain aerated and so prevent root rot. Rhaphidophora tetrasperma has recently made a big come-back thanks to social media and the 'Plant Life Balance' movement of bringing your garden indoors.
